Aurensis attended from 3 to 6 March 2009 to GE Smallworld ™ User Conference in Sorrento, Italy.

As it celebrated the 20th anniversary of the creation of Smallworld. This conference is an event where customers, partners and technical staff and business take advantage of GE to share experiences and stories of success and introduce new products. This year’s conference was aimed at reflecting on the Smallworld technology has helped to improve industry practices in the last 20 years, and ongoing initiatives can transform the future.

As items of note include the great expectations regarding the future of infrastructure in the electricity sector and the concept of the Smart Grid. General Electric, as one of the biggest players in the industry, gave his view of this topic, emphasizing the importance of Smallworld systems for the intelligent management of assets as part of enabling Smart Grid.

Products include the presentation of MapFrame-Fieldsmart ® mobile GIS, GeoSpatial Server as server publishing and integration of corporate information and Field Force Automation for the management of the brigades and field work.
