Telespazio Ibérica participates as a gold sponsor in the XIX Congress of the Spanish Association of Remote Sensing

Telespazio Ibérica, participated as a gold sponsor in the XIX Remote Sensing Congress held in Pamplona, organized by the Public University of Navarra and the Spanish Association of Remote Sensing.

This event brought together a large number of experts from the scientific, business and institutional community, with the aim of sharing knowledge and developments in the field of Remote Sensing and the processing of images captured by remote sensors, as well as experiences in the use and application of these images in areas as varied as agricultural and forestry management, management of water, geological or marine resources, management and monitoring of natural disasters or climate change.


The presentations given by: the European Space Agency (ESA) on the present and future of the Earth Observation Programs of the European Space Agency; the European Environmental Agency (EEA) on Copernicus Land Monitoring Service, towards continuous monitoring to support environmental and climate change policies of the European Union; and the National Geographic Institute (IGN) in reference to PNOA-LIDAR. Three large entities with which Telespazio Ibérica has been collaborating for years in the field of remote sensing.
 

Cristina Moclán Soria, remote sensing expert at Telespazio Ibérica, presented the progress of the new SDTI system, dedicated to the early detection of forest fires in the electricity sector using satellite data. SDTI is a joint project of EDP Redes and Telespazio with a high innovation component.
