This collaboration will allow to have 283M€ of public-private investment and create more than 400 jobs until 2026. In addition, it will boost 40 R&D projects in the field of unmanned systems with 49.8M€ of public funds and 233M€ from the business sector.
64% of the public funds will be dedicated to the recruitment of companies, Universities and technology centres in Galicia.
Telespazio and Babcock will be responsible for developing a joint program that responds to the challenge of biodiversity observation and management that will mobilize €40.6M (€21.18M from the Xunta de Galicia and funds from the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism). Specifically, progress will be made in the creation of technologies based on unmanned vehicles for the management, surveillance and monitoring of biodiversity. The creation of 236 jobs is expected.
Airbus, a benchmark in the aerospace sector in Europe, has planned an initiative that includes 20 R&D&I projects with a public-private mobilization of 242.6 million euros - of which 28.7 will be provided by the Xunta de Galicia - and the creation of 168 direct jobs.
